Power Grid Corporation of India Limited (POWERGRID), a Maharatna Public Sector Enterprise under the Ministry of Power, Government of India, stands as one of the largest power transmission utilities in the world. With an extensive network spanning around 178,195 circuit kilometers of transmission lines and 279 substations, POWERGRID plays a vital role in the country’s energy sector by transmitting nearly 50% of the total power generated in India.

In addition to its transmission services, POWERGRID operates a vast telecom network of approximately 100,000 kilometers, serving around 3,000 locations and covering 500 cities.
