Udupi Cochin Shipyard Limited (UCSL), located in Malpe, Karnataka, is a wholly owned subsidiary of Cochin Shipyard Limited (CSL). UCSL is inviting online applications from Indian citizens to fill the following Assistant Manager posts on a contract basis for UCSL in Malpe.
Degree in Electrical Engineering with a minimum of 60% marks from a recognized university.
Essential: Minimum 3 years post-qualification experience in: Ship Building, Ship Repair, Marine-related sectors, Port, Engineering Companies, or Government Organizations. Desirable: Experience in Electrical, Quality Control, Outfitting, Piping, or Utility & Maintenance. Experience in QMS/ISO documentation is a plus.
Assistant Manager (Mechanical)
Degree in Mechanical Engineering with a minimum of 60% marks from a recognized university.
Essential: Minimum 3 years post-qualification experience in: Ship Building, Ship Repair, Marine-related sectors, Port, Engineering Companies, or Government Organizations. Desirable: Experience in Materials, Quality Control, Machinery, Piping, Outfitting, or Installation & Commissioning.

5. Period of Contract and Place of Posting:
Contract Duration: Maximum 5 years, subject to project requirements and individual performance.
Posting Locations: UCSL, Malpe, or other UCSL project sites in India or abroad.
6. Remuneration:
The monthly consolidated pay for the Assistant Manager positions is as follows:

7. Age Limit:
Upper Age Limit: 30 years as of 24 March 2025 (born on or after 25 March 1995).
Relaxation:
3 years for OBC (Non-Creamy Layer) candidates
5 years for SC candidates in posts reserved for them
Age relaxation for Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD) and Ex-servicemen as per Government of India guidelines (maximum age: 45 years).
8. Selection Method:
The selection will be based on:
Objective Type Test (50 Marks)
60-minute test with 50 Multiple Choice Questions.
General Knowledge: 10 Marks
Subject-based: 40 Marks
No negative marking.
PowerPoint Presentation (30 Marks) – To assess work experience.
Personal Interview (20 Marks)
Total Marks: 100
Minimum qualifying marks:
Unreserved Candidates: 50% of the total marks
SC Candidates: 40% of the total marks
PwBD Candidates: 40% of the total marks
OBC Candidates: 45% of the total marks
